Flying Egg

My favourite cafe in the neighborhood! I get my coffee from Flying Egg every morning before catching the train to work. Their staff are super efficient and friendly. Apart from coffee, the food here is also very tasty. My personal favs are their risotto, omelette rice, and healthy poke bowl.

If you love sweet drinks, don’t miss the hot chocolate and mocha here They make it with real chocolate, and it’s sooo good! My go-to is hot chocolate with a single shot of espresso — totally obsessed

I’m a regular of Flying Egg and am thankful for the quality coffee and customer service over the last year. Everyone knows me in store and remembers my order, they take care to ensure my coffee tastes amazing every time. The staff are personable and always serve me with a smile. Special thanks to Joey for always asking how my day is going and keeping track of my coffee card. Thanks also to Panda who is always friendly and loves to chat while making my coffee. I can tell they all have fun working together and love extending their energy to customers. Would definitely recommend Flying Egg if you’re looking for The Grounds Coffee with personable service.

Lovely little café , coffee is spot on and the barista’s service is warm and friendly. Always a pleasure to pop in.

I come here for the soy chai latte it’s my favorite. The staff are consistently warm and friendly, which makes the whole place feel welcoming. Great coffee, great people, easy choice

Had a few meals here over the years, very consistent food and service. I stopped in after fasting 15 hours, and had an Ultrasound at North Shore Private Hospital located nearby. This time I ordered Eggs your way ($13) including scrambled eggs on sourdough toast, and I added Avocado ($4), Halloumi ($4) and Mushrooms ($4). I drank a Soy Latte ($5) after the meal. Commenting on the food and drink, the scrambled eggs were cooked differently from what I am used to, more a commercialised option, still tasty though. Three mushrooms for $4 is a bit overpriced. The half Avocado was spot on, good size and nicely cut, The three thin cut slices of Halloumi tasted nice, not too salty, but slightly overpriced, I think. I enjoyed the meal, and I was certainly full for the rest of the day. The regular coffee was a bit strong for my liking, as well. I will return to try the French Toast, and a pot of tea on my next visit, I have another scan booked next week. Staff were warm and friendly, ambiance was laid back, all in all a pleasant experience.
